TGCF’s Resource Exchange Center — Connecting the Need to the Remedy

Since its inception The Grace Children’s Foundation has recognized the need to serve the whole child. The means to deliver the resources necessary to support the wellbeing of the children is equally important. While there are many outstanding programs serving children in China there is no one center of operations that connects philanthropic resources directly to the children in need. Professionals and volunteers are often frustrated by myriad obstacles when donating their care, expertise or funding. TGCF’s Resource Exchange Center, established in New York City, coordinates and delivers vital resources through the Foundation’s three core programs.

The Foundation has created an innovative solution that links children to donated goods and services. This mechanism alleviates the constant struggle and often frustrating search for appropriate resources to respond to both emergency and long term care needs.

TGCF is working to expand its outreach by establishing a global office in Beijing—a central hub that, once fully funded, provides a replicable, systematic method of healing and learning, coordinating and delivering vital resources—linking orphaned children and disadvantaged children to medical/surgical care, education and vocational opportunities and humanitarian aid.

The Grace Children’s Foundation’s Resource Exchange Center offers a unique opportunity to channel capacities of individuals and organizations worldwide. This mechanism supports a viable system that serves the children, offers incentives to caregivers and expands our reach from the orphanages to include disadvantaged children living on the periphery. It will enable us to exponentially increase the number of children we directly serve and make our database of resources available to an even larger audience of those in need through the Internet under one coordinated umbrella …connecting the need to the remedy globally.
