TGCF Youth Initiative (YI) Project Standards

All Projects must be approved by The Grace Children's Foundation and TGCF’s Children’s Resource Exchange Center in cooperation with the participating schools, community service organizations and workplaces. The Projects must be SYSTEMATIC, SUSTAINABLE AND REPLICABLE in nature, benefiting orphaned and disadvantaged children…connecting the need to the remedy.

TGCF Youth Initiative (YI) Projects

PROJECT 1
Project Medical Link -
Delivering Medical/Surgical and Rehabilitative Care to Orphaned and Disadvantaged Children in China


Participants in the YI Project Medical Link will coordinate and maximize their efforts and fundraising activities to support TGCF's Mindful Giving Campaign. The Campaign is working to deliver medical/surgical resources to support 60-70 children in need of various complex medical procedures in 2012. TGCF's Children's Resource Exchange Center will access its established medical network to coordinate and negotiate care and expertise with local hospitals and medical professionals.

The funding goal for the YI Project Medical Link is $250,000*. The YI funds raised will be added to TGCF's Mindful Giving Campaign and will directly benefit the children...connecting the need to the remedy.

PROJECT 2
Project Learning in Progress -
Delivering Special Education Resources to Orphaned and Disadvantaged Children in China


Participants in the YI Project Learning in Progress will coordinate and maximize their efforts and fundraising activities to support children with special needs through TGCF's Children's Resource Exchange Center. The YI will help support special education projects that focus on, but are not limited to, the recruitment of specialists and the coordination of resources pertaining to:

Physical Therapy
Speech Therapy
Special Education Teachers
Hearing Specialist
Blindness Specialist
Autism Specialists
Occupational Therapist
Early Childhood Development
A Scholarship Fund for 20 students

We welcome in-kind donations of books, supplies and learning tools.

The funding goal for the Yi Project Learning in Progress is $250,000*. The funds raised will aid in the development of vital educational resources for the children...connecting the need to the remedy.

*The YI volunteer team and staff will help coordinate various fundraising activities and each activity will be supervised by educators, community service coordinators and/or young professionals. Please let us know if you have a particular activity in mind.
