Adjunct Professor, Columbia University School Of Social Work
Alexandra Hakim is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University School of Social Work. Before joining Columbia, Alexandra was a social worker and pro bono attorney with the Legal Aid Society Juvenile Rights Practice group. There she represented children with ACS involvement in the Family Court.
Alexandra was born and raised in New York. She received a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She also received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where she majored in French, History and Economics. Additionally, Alexandra earned a Masters in Social Work from New York University Silver School of Social Work.
Alexandra was introduced to Nancy and the incredible work that is being done by the Grace Children’s Foundation (GCF) and Children’s Resource Exchange (CRE) by her brother Christian Hakim, who has served as a GCF Board Member for several years. Alexandra hopes that her background in social work and the law contribute to the great work GCF and CRE does on behalf of children across the globe.
