Federico Gomez Suarez was a Principal Program Manager within Microsoft Corporation. Federico received his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad de las Americas Puebla in Mexico and has worked at Microsoft full-time since 2006, applying the latest tech solutions to some of the challenges of running Microsoft Business Operations. Additionally, he was a technical advisor and volunteer project lead at Thorn, a non-profit focused on using technology to defend children from sexual abuse.

After meeting Nancy Robertson in 2017 and learning from her about the plight of the children who wait, Federico was eager to join the Grace Children’s Foundation’s (GCF) efforts to use technology to revolutionize the delivery of pediatric healthcare. He has since coordinated Microsoft’s volunteer team working on the digitalization of GCF’s Children’s Resource Exchange (CRE). Under his leadership, the team took first place for non profits at both the 2017 and 2019 Microsoft Hack for Good, and at the 2020 Hack for Good, GCF was selected for a $10,000 grant in association with the first annual Microsoft’s Federico Gomez Suarez Memorial Award (FGS).

Through his work with Grace Children’s Foundation (GCF) and its Children’s Resource Exchange (CRE), Federico led the charge with innovators at Microsoft to combat a critical problem for children in need globally, ensuring sustained social impact through technology.
