Keenan Fine

MD Candidate at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine

Keenan was born and raised in California, where he received his BA in Political Science from UCLA in 2018.While at UCLA, he conducted collaborative research in health psychology and abnormal psychology, in addition to individual research in political science. Keenan also served as the Vice Chair UCLA Athletics John Wooden Center Board of Governors, where he led in the decision-making regarding policy design, approval of the annual budget, and oversight of various construction and renovation projects of UCLA’s recreation facility.
 
Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he worked for a year with public school special education programs working with underserved students and communities in the Los Angeles area. Here, he advocated on behalf of students and teachers to provide improved behavioral and medical care in schools. Most recently, he received his MS in Human Nutrition from Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He is currently working in the New York Nutrition and Obesity Research Center as a research coordinator/assistant, investigating the implementation and efficacy of intermittent fasting regiments utilizing smartphone technology. 
 
He is extremely excited to be working with Grace Children’s Foundation due to his background in healthcare and improving its delivery to children in need. In addition, he is grateful for the experience, as he approaches his career in medicine with a focus in public health.
